‘90210′ Starlet Blasts Her Weight Critics
(Nov. 28) — ‘90210′ starlet Shenae Grimes is sick of everyone talking about her weight and making claims of eating disorders without even asking her about it.
In this week’s PEOPLE, Grimes hits back at those who have critiqued her thin frame, saying: “Meet me in person, and you can’t say anything. No bones sticking out. Just because people are calling you skinny doesn’t mean I’m like, ‘Yay!’ No! You’re telling me I don’t look right. This is me, this is my body –- I have accepted it.”

Grimes and her fellow female ‘90210′ castmates have landed on the front of magazines, claiming there’s an eating disorder issue on the set. Costars Jessica Stroup and AnnaLynne McCord have faced similar allegations of eating disorders.
When PopEater chatted up with ‘Gossip Girl’ star Penn Badgley in September, the actor who shares the CW network with the ‘90210′ gals said he’s not really a fan of their body types, saying they should “eat a double cheeseburger or something.”
Grimes goes on to say that if tabloids and magazines want the real story, they should contact her instead of running unverified stories.
“Nobody has asked me about it. I really can’t help what someone thinks of me because they are reading a paper and choosing to believe it,” she says.
She does, however, understand that this is all a part of being young and famous these days.
“These are stories that have been written about everybody. Of course we’re the new girls on a hit show so we’re plopped into these little boxes. And people buy it. It makes me totally second guess anything I’ve ever read about anybody.”
